Douglas began his real estate career in 2002 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida working in commercial and general real estate sales. He obtained a Broker Associate license in 2006. He also holds and a master’s degree in business administration.
His background includes working as a licensed mortgage broker/loan originator and also working as a commercial loan production manager, where his responsibilities included the coordination of sales and marketing programs.
Douglas moved to the west coast of Florida in 2007. Before joining Premier Sotheby’s International Realty, he worked as a business banking relationship manager and managed a portfolio of 120 clients with relationships in excess of $20 million. He has additional experience as a project manager for a land development company and as a commercial real estate broker for an international real estate firm.
Douglas is an avid fan of the outdoors and enjoys hunting, fishing, boating, sailing and diving. In connection with those interests, Douglas gives his time as a current member and prior vice president of the Sarasota Sportsmens Association; he helps educate local youth regarding outdoors sportsmanship and safe practices while also promoting the use, conservation and management of our local natural resources. Douglas is an avid supporter of the Arts and Sciences through the Asolo Theater and Mote Marine Lab. He is also active as a certified and licensed Fire Fighter/EMT volunteer. Douglas is a member of the Sarasota Association of REALTORS (SAR).
